Privacy policy
This policy covers two things: this website, heliodonradio.com, and the HELIODON channel tools, a private application that manages the HELIODON YouTube channel on behalf of its owner using YouTube API Services. By using the channel tools you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Who uses the channel tools
Only the owner of the HELIODON channel. The tools are not offered to the public and do not sign in other users. Viewers of the channel and visitors to this website never interact with them.
What the channel tools access
When the channel owner signs in with Google, the tools receive an OAuth token for these scopes:
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube: to upload the channel's own videos, schedule their publication, set their title, description, language, category and thumbnail, and add them to the channel's own playlists.
- https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly: to read the channel's own aggregate statistics (views, watch time, subscribers gained).
They do not read comments, messages, subscriber identities or any personal data of viewers, and they do not access any channel other than HELIODON.
How that data is used and stored
The OAuth refresh token is stored in a file readable only by the tools' service on the channel owner's private server, and on no other system. Analytics numbers are fetched on request and shown to the owner in a private Telegram chat; they are not stored. After an upload the tools record the new video's link in the owner's private planning workspace (Notion). Nothing is sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising.
HELIODON's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Retention, revocation and deletion
The token is kept while the tools are in use and deleted when they are retired. Access can be revoked at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To ask for deletion of any stored data, write to the address below; it will be deleted within 30 days.
This website
heliodonradio.com sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising, and loads nothing from other sites: fonts and images are served from this domain, and the live sun readouts are computed in your browser from your clock. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver and protect it, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. Links to YouTube take you to YouTube, where Google's policies apply.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
